Dear Reader,

We always feel proud and satisfied saying that BIGCE is one of the fastest developing institute in India within one & half years, BIGCE has grown marvelously into a well structured organization.

We are not only focusing on academics of the students but also their all round development. Our students have proved themselves by their achievements, through their results. I feel very proud about the contribution of everyone who is helping to build the grand institution. Also I congratulate all my staff members for the best results.

We are putting heart, mind and soul to the every smallest act which is secrete of success. Nevertheless, we have to do lot many more things to take our college to new heights to enhance its visibility at not only state but also national level.

The last semester was full of extra curricular activities, our annul festival BIG CREATION 2008, sports week, seminars, workshops etc where students showed their overwhelming response. Also I hope that our students have done well in 2nd semester exam.

We are also planning to have language laboratory for improving student’s English speaking skills. We are also in the process of increasing intake for mechanical and CSE branch.

We are marching towards excellence. Let us have courage to dream big and let us have the passion to make our dreams come true. We are expanding the world of technology.

Secretary's Message

Dear Friends,

It gives me an immense pleasure to invite you to the Best Educational environment, infrastructure, facilities, faculty and campus of our institution. Bharatratna Indira Gandhi College of Engineering was established in the year 2006 with the aim of imparting quality education.

The institute has fully developed infrastructure and provides four years course leading to Bachelors degree of Solapur University in six branches namely Civil, Mechanical, CSE, Biomedical, Electronics and Tele Communication and Information Technology with intake of 420 students. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra, and is affiliated to Solapur University. I am happy to bring you to the notice that our Institute is one of the pioneers in Engineering Education in Solapur and Maharashtra region. The teaching and non-teaching staff is a blend of experienced and young dynamic faculty members devoted to the noble cause of education. In addition to academics, the students are engaged in sports and cultural activity to provide a healthy relief from rigorous routine.

The institute has already made a mark on the national map as our students are working in reputed MNCs. Many of our students were toppers in university examinations and are in great demand in industries of metro cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune etc. and even abroad.

I am also happy to convey you that since the year ‘2011’, our Institute has become the pioneer in starting various Post Graduate courses in Engineering in the Solapur region; we have ME courses in Mechanical, ETC and Computer Science Engineering. We also have MCA and MBA courses under engineering faculty. The year ‘2008’ has marked an opening for the start of Management Courses to contribute in building the nation through qualified Engineers and Managers.

We, at BIGCE, strive to cultivate students who are not only successful in their personal and professional fields, but who take upon themselves the challenge to fetch science and technology to the doorsteps of the common man and to propel India as the leader in the emerging technologies. We have initiated dialogue with reputed foreign Universities for collaboration in various fields. I am sure that the performance by our students reflects the inspiration of today’s youth, ready to face the Global Challenges!

About the college… The promoting body is Kai. Sushilatai Gaikwad Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha, Solapur. The trust is established by a group of active and enthusiastic members with a sole intention of imparting education to the needy and to spread the activities for the betterment of the region. Bharat-Ratna Indira Gandhi College of Engineering is established in 2006. We have got approval by the All India Council of Technical Education. Within 4 years we have proved ourselves as one of the best colleges in Engineering field.

Administrative office H. N. Nagane, Registrar is the incharge of office Administration, including (a) Account Section (b) Student section (c) E. S .T. Section (d) Store & Maintenance Section and other general administrative Work The Administrative office provides all services to students relating to Admission, Examinations ,University work etc. The all computing facilities are utilized in the office in day to day work.college ,also provided the Intercom-facility, P.C.O., Reception Counter, Security control, Generator, Medical Aids, First Aids in all labs, Xerox Facility, Consumer Stores, Canteen ,Transportation Facility etc.
