It is that branch
of engineering which provides basic amenities required
for the survival and maintenance of the environment
due to its fast deterioration. Civil Engineering has
kept pace with the rapid growth in the field of technology.
The department has well qualified and learned faculties
who have a minimum qualification of Masters Degree
in Engineering. These include one Doctorate in Philosophy.
The department seeks expertise from several branches
of civil engineering viz. Structures, Soil and Foundation,
Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering.
The department of civil engg. is established in
2010 , with a sanctioned intake capacity of 60
for under-graduate engineering course.
The Civil Engineering department aims to provide
all the facilities required to study and understand
construction with an eye on environmental consciousness.
The civil department also aims to offer consultancy
services in testing of building material viz. steel,
cement, bricks, etc., to several government organisations,
private sectors and the local contractors and builders.
The department has well qualified and experienced
staff supported with well equipped laboratories,
computing facilities and skilled laboratory staff
to offer quality technical education..
