DEPARTMENT
OF ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMINICATIONS OFFERS
FOUR YEARS FULL TIME B.E. PROGRAMME
(Approved by A.I.C.T.E New Delhi, D.T.E,
Mumbai & Affiliated to Solapur University)
Annual intake is 60
students. Students with minimum qualification of
graduation are admitted through the Common Entrance
Test conducted by D.T.E. Mumbai.
The B.E (E & TC)
course is conducted over four years and 8 semesters.
Solapur University conducts
the exam at the end of each semester. The specializations
offered in the area of VLSI, Image Processing ,
Microprocessor and Microcontrollers and host
of other subjects.
The course is taught by experienced faculty.

TECHNOCREST-2K10
The “TECHNOCREST-2K10” national level technical
event was organized by Prof. V.S. Kolkure and Prof. Shaikh
S.W.(H.O.D.) of E&TC department. Over 400 students participated
in Project-exhibition, Robo-task, Robo-Race, u-Tricks, C-C++
competition in this technical fest making it huge success.
The event was judged by Dr. Dixit, Prof. Madki & Prof.
Kondekar fro WIT Solapur. The Chief Guest for the event Mr.
G Ramesh (BSNL, Solapur) had shared his views and experience.
The prize distribution was also arranged on the same day.
Honorable Chairman Shri D.S. Gaikwad, Chief Guest G. Ramesh,
Principal Dr. M.D. Patil and Vice-Principal Prof. M.S.Deshpande
had given the prize to the winners.

and Tele-Communications - Annual
Report
A host of activities were conducted through
out the year keeping the students busy in academic and
non academic activities. High profile dignitaries for industry
as well as members of foreign universities paid visits
to the department and appreciated the progress achieved
in a short span of time.
They showered praises for all the teaching staff and non
teaching staff for their up to date knowledge and the maintenance
of the labs and the classrooms. They noted the staff of
art labs equipped with the latest machines and equipments.
On the academic side a number of workshops were organized to
keep the student updated with the latest happening in the industry.
Workshops on aptitude, interview techniques are a weekly routine
but in addition to that students were imparted the knowledge
of the latest methodologies, tools so that they can be industry
ready from day one after the completion of BE.
